Hello there.
I’m a theatre director born in Vilnius, Lithuania and now based in London - by way of Spain and Germany.
I create work that is physically and visually playful, politically (big and small P) engaged, irreverent, messy, full of heart. It is often interdisciplinary, exploring the synergy and juxtaposition between text, body, architecture, music, and design. Collaboration and play is at the heart of my practice, whether working on new or extant stories and texts.
My work has been performed at the National Theatre, Almeida theatre, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Soho Playhouse NYC, Pleasance Theatre, Vault Festival, Jackson’s Lane, libraries and community venues around the country, and online.
As an assistant and associate director, I have worked in the West End, Shakespeare’s Globe, Royal Shakespeare Company, Arcola Theatre and Nevill Holt Opera. I have assisted Rachel Bagshaw, Owen Horsley, Adele Thomas, Sean Holmes, Marieke Audsley, and Angus Jackson.
As a transdisciplinary collaborator, I have extensive experience of creative facilitation and education consultation. Learning and pedagogy are ongoing loves of mine, and I work with numerous national and international organisations as a workshop leader and programme creator.
In addition to my directing and facilitator work, I’m also co-artistic director of Crow’s Nest Theatre Company. We focus on making adventurous new work for children (of all ages!).
“Enthralling, moving and fundamentally, beautifully human.”
